Nike launch special Tiempo Legend V Premium for Francesco Totti

Releasing their special Rare Gold Superfly boots last week, Nike are set to launch 3,000 pairs of Francesco Totti’s customised Nike Tiempo Legend V Premium silo.
Made exclusively for one of Nike’s most loyal players Francesco Totti, the Cheap Nike Tiempo Legend V Premium silo is an example of a timeless football boot product that stands the test of time. The Tiempo was originally launched in 1985 and has remained today as one of best selling football boot ranges of all time and is headlined by the likes of Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique and Chris Smalling.
The new Nike Legend V Premium boot retains the iconic fold-over tongue last seen on the Tiempo Legend III by Nike. The 38 year old Italian prefers the tongue over the standard tongue-less New Nike Tiempo Legend V. The original purpose of the tongue was to provide a cleaner striking surface on top of your laces.
Totti mentioned, “I have always played with boots that had a tongue and for me, this detail on the product is very important. I wear the Tiempo because it is a comfortable boot with a soft leather upper that adapts well to the foot’s shape and grants a great touch of the ball. It’s a classic boot that helps me perform at my best when I’m on the pitch.”
This new football boot by Nike emits class and heritage boasting a classic black upper with silver details on the fold-over tongue, Swoosh logos and sockliner design. The Tiempo uses hand crafted Alegria leather and uses it’s trademark Hypershield technology on the upper to retain the shape and feel of the boot.
Totti added, “This specific version of the Tiempo has a beautiful color since it’s a perfect mix between classic elements like the black upper and more innovative ones like the chrome details on the Swoosh and the tongue. The tongue itself makes this boot really unique and is a key element for me in a football boot.”
Inspired by a warrior the Black/Silver Nike Tiempo Legend V Premium installs a special logo on the sockliner which incorporates his number ten. The metallic silver fold-over tongue and Swoosh logos are inspired by a warrior’s armour.
Juts 3,000 pairs will be available from the 5th of March from selected retailers.
